Bethelene’s goal is to guide families from conflict to cooperation. Through parenting coaching sessions, she helps families explore practical methods tailored to their unique needs, addressing social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Parenting by Hart supports caregivers in understanding the underlying messages behind children’s behaviour.
During the initial consultation, Bethelene works with families to identify key concerns, gain insight from the child’s perspective, and set realistic expectations. Together, they develop strategies aligned with the family’s lifestyle and values. Follow-up sessions focus on refining these solutions to effectively meet the needs of both caregivers and children.

After being misdiagnosed as a child and placed in a remedial class where no one believed in her potential, Bethelene returned to school as a mature student, graduated with honours, and became the advocate she needed growing up.
Today, she speaks on stages, leads workshops, and supports families with real, relatable tools that transform how we raise and connect with kids.
Speaking Topics Include:
Raising Future Leaders: The Power of Emotional Intelligence from Daycare to Adulthood
Validating Big Feelings in Little People: The Key to Compassionate Care
What’s Beneath the Behaviour: Meeting the Needs Behind the Tantrum
What Caregivers Need: Beyond Burnout and Into Restoring Energy, Purpose, and Well-Being
I empower educators, caregivers and parents to identify and compassionately address the unmet needs that motivate children’s behaviour.
Testimonials
“Beth, your wisdom, experience, and ability to see through the eyes of both the child and the parent have consistently helped me during challenging times. Every time I consult with you, I leave our session feeling like there is hope and a new way to approach my interactions with my child. The skills and approach learned from our time together have helped me to feel more confident in my ability to respond to big feelings, unpredictable scenarios and challenges related to parenting with my child. I feel like a more compassionate and present parent as a result of working with you. Thank you!”
“Bethelene was an excellent support. She came in to work with us at a very trying time and calmly helped us to navigate by providing advice, resources and tools. We saw sustained progress as a result of her work and are very grateful!”
"Bethelene Hart has been my go-to source for understanding, supporting and guiding children's behaviour both for parents and professionals. She has the ability to make connections and build a common understanding based on her deep knowledge and her personal experiences. She brings stories of raising her own children to bring to life different approaches and/or common misunderstandings around development and behaviour. She is not speaking at you but instead speaking with you - encouraging active participation and problem-solving. Bethelene is non-judgemental and is a supportive ally of improving the lives of many children and families. I have learned so much from watching her guide others and myself. She is among the best behaviour and development speakers for parents and front-line professionals that I have come across."
"Bethelene’s objective is not to groom your child into blind obedience: she recognizes that parenting is a stewardship, not an ownership, and that children are their own people. Her tips are practical and pragmatic, respectful to parent and child, and always with the long-term goal at the helm. She guides with love and the 20/20 hindsight experience affords. When it comes to parenting, one-size definitely does not fit all, and that is why Beth's sessions are so valuable: rather than a "ticky-box" of to-dos, Beth meets with you and your family, and uses that to inform her suggestions."
“ Upon meeting Bethelene for the first time, it was apparent to me that she has a tremendous and innate ability to connect with others in a way that makes a person feel seen and heard. Her calming presence is very reassuring and comforting. Bethelene has the natural capacity to create a safe space for sharing with a deep awareness and acceptance of what is arising within an individual. This enables her to reflect on and validate feelings and emotions without judgment or expectations for a specific outcome, leaving one to feel cared for. Bethelene has the best parenting advice and strategies to help foster confidence in learning and growing in relationship to ourselves and others. I would highly recommend Bethelene to anyone who needs support and guidance.” - C.G.
"I have been struggling to find my way at times with my beautiful son and she has been helping J. and I problem solve and navigate a more peaceful, accepting, joyful and honest path with him. We are making huge strides at home - setting necessary boundaries while also learning to back off where we CAN and need to! We are seeing the magic and effectiveness of being consistent and empathetic in our approach! There are less incidents and we are having more and more peace and joy at home! She has provided us with very effective techniques and approaches that we are introducing and trying on for size, slowly! DO YOURSELF a FAVOUR and reach out for help! We do not have to feel alone on this parenting journey and we don't have to have it all figured out! It is a journey of the heart and that takes courage and patience. Mad love to all of you parents, stumbling your way along imperfectly! She can help you navigate any parenting challenge....check her out!"

“It is with great respect and admiration that I recommend Bethelene Hart. I had the privilege of training and working alongside her in the Special Education Department at the Child Development Institute in Toronto. Bethelene is an exceptionally skilled professional whose strengths lie in her ability to offer clarity, guidance, and sound advice especially when supporting families through complex and emotionally challenging situations. Her extensive knowledge of child development is both impressive and deeply rooted in theory and practice. She consistently brings valuable insight to every interaction, whether she’s working with parents, children, or colleagues. Her approach is always marked by compassion, professionalism, and a strong sense of integrity. What truly sets Bethelene apart is her calm, kind, and spiritually grounded presence. In times of uncertainty or stress, she naturally creates a peaceful, supportive environment where others feel heard, reassured, and empowered. Bethelene is not only a knowledgeable and capable practitioner, she is also a deeply caring and trusted colleague. Any team or organization would be fortunate to benefit from her expertise and presence.” - C.E.I.
