About Me
Bethelene Hart, founder of Parenting by Hart, is an Expert Early Childhood Educator, RECE (registered with the College of Early Childhood Education), Award-Winning Speaker, and Author.
She has over 30 years of experience supporting families, educators, and schools across Canada. She spent over a decade with the Toronto District School Board, working first in Special Education and later in the Family Literacy Program, where she guided parents and young children in early learning environments.
Bethelene was also a Special Needs Resource Educator at the Child Development Institute, consulted with hundreds of schools and daycares, and leads workshops on emotional connection, child behavior, and relationship-based parenting.
Bethelene continues to support local kindergarten classrooms and childcare centres.
Bethelene is the mother of 5 children, and her honest and humorous experiences are woven into her writing and in-person interactions. Bethelene is well respected in her field. Her experience is wide and varied:

Bethelene is the author of several children’s books that support emotional literacy and help parents navigate big feelings through everyday stories.
Her work emphasizes building trust, validating children's feelings, and fostering positive behaviours through empathy and understanding.
After being misdiagnosed as a child and placed in a remedial class where no one believed in her potential, Bethelene returned to school as a mature student, graduated with honours, and became the advocate she needed growing up.
She's been featured on CTV Your Morning & CHCH Morning Live. Today, she speaks on stages, leads workshops, and supports families with real, relatable tools that transform how we raise and connect with kids.
